If you're thinking about keeping chickens or are a newcomer to the hobby try one of our beginners courses
The course will last for approximately two hours and will cover the following points:
Where to keep your chickens
What do I need and how much will it cost – housing, accessories
What to feed your hens
A good husbandry routine - what to do daily, weekly, monthly and infrequently
Handling chickens, wing clipping and putting on mite powder
Taking the chickens home and settling them in
Health checking, tips & First Aid
Introducing new chickens to the flock

There will be plenty of opportunity to see lots of different chickens, across several different breeds and for everyone to handle the chickens. The course will be mostly hands on. Full information about what to bring on the day will be given to all attendees in advance.
The course will cost £25 per adult and £10 per child.
There will be complimentary hot/cold drinks and home-made cakes provided.

Courses will be run in our bespoke chicken-classroom on site here in Lower Brailes.
Dates: TBC The courses will usually run on a Sunday afternoon from 12.30pm to 2.30pm or a weekday evening.
